About this product
The Adams Golf IDEA TECH V4 Hybrid 8 Iron combines the forgiveness of a hybrid with the control of an iron. It features a stainless steel head and a steel shaft in regular flex, designed for right-handed men. This single club aims to bridge the gap between long irons and hybrids, offering easier launch and added distance. With a standard lie angle and a price of $39.95, it is a budget-friendly option for golfers needing help with their long iron shots.
Our take
I tried the Adams IDEA TECH V4 hybrid 8-iron hoping for easier long iron shots. The stainless steel head and steel shaft felt sturdy, and the hybrid design definitely launched the ball higher than my standard 8-iron. But given it's a hybrid, the turf interaction is different—took a few swings to adjust. The regular flex felt appropriate for my tempo. For the price, it's a fun experiment, but I wouldn't rely on it as a primary scoring club.
